Privacy Policy

How your information is protected.

Trust is at the heart of therapy. Here's a short, plain-language overview of how your information is protected.

As a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, I'm required by law (the Personal Health Information Protection Act, or PHIPA) to protect your personal health information. Here's a plain-language summary of what that means.

What I collect, and why

To provide care, I keep basic contact information, intake details, clinical notes from our sessions, and billing records. This information is used only to support your therapy and to meet my professional obligations as a Registered Psychotherapist.

How it's protected

Your records are stored securely and privately, with access limited to me alone. Bookings and related administrative details are managed through a secure, encrypted platform.

Confidentiality

What you share with me stays between us. There are a small number of rare, legally required exceptions, and we'll talk through what those are together during our early sessions, so you always know where you stand.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies or tracking, and it doesn't collect any personal information as you browse.

Your rights

You can access your own records or request a correction at any time. If you ever have a concern about how your information is handled, please reach out directly so we can address it together, or contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.
