Kim Watson, B.A., R.P., OACCPP

I am a Registered Psychotherapist based in the east-end of Toronto who has experience in the counselling profession. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I developed my counselling techniques through the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training. My training and experience has helped me understand and support areas of need such as grief, loss, depression, anxiety, marital counselling and life transitions.

My Techniques:

As your therapist, my approach is about empowerment. It is about listening, leading and guiding you to discover the strength in you that restores balance and harmony in your life. Internal Family Systems is an evidence-based, psychotherapy modality that has changed the look of psychotherapy and has proven to be highly effective. It is a creative, strengths-based, client-centred approach that takes you down a path of internal discovery.

*IFS was first conceptualized over 30 years ago by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D.

I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years and have enjoyed my journey in refining my skills by self-discovery, experiences and learning from each client that has crossed my path. I have two grown children and been married for close to 30 years. What I enjoy most is reading, experiencing nature, spending time with family and friends and developing myself, both personally and professionally.

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
